
What is the difference between stainless steel bottles and aluminum bottles?
Aluminum can leach into water and therefore aluminum water bottles require a plastic or epoxy lining. Our bottles are made from food-grade stainless steel which does not leach so our bottles do not require a lining.

Can I put my stainless steel bottle in the dishwasher?
We do not recommend washing your stainless steel water bottle in the dishwasher. Doing so will not damage your bottle or your dishwasher but may cause the paint to wear off of our colored bottles. Instead, hand wash your bottle with a non-abrasive dishsoap. For a more thorough cleaning, rinse your bottle with diluted white vinegar or a baking soda & water solution. Always let your bottle air dry with the cap off.

Can I put hot liquids in my stainless steel bottle?
We do not recommend putting hot liquids in your stainless steel bottle. Hot liquids will not damage your bottle but, as our stainless steel bottles are single wall and therefore not insulated, the temperature of the bottle will be the same as the liquid inside and could cause burns to your hands.
Can I freeze my stainless steel bottle?
We do not recommend putting your stainless steel bottle in the freezer. Lliquids expand during the freezing process and therefore could damage your bottle. If you do decide to put your bottle in the freezer, only fill it halfway or leave the cap off to allow room for the expansion of the liquid.
How do I wash my plastic Tritan Copolyester bottle?
Your Tritan Copolyester water bottle is dishwasher safe, but we recommend only washing it on the top rack. Open your water bottle and place it on the top rack of the dishwater upside down. Move the cap to the side of the bottle so that water can get into all areas of the bottle and cap. Use non-abrasive dishwasher soap only.
What is BPA?
Bisphenol A (BPA) is an additive used to make polycarbonate plastic. It is popular because it creates plastic items that are lightweight, heat resistant, highly shatter-resistant and as clear as glass.
Is BPA dangerous?
Bisphenol A (BPA) is one of the most extensively tested materials in use today. BPA has been used in consumer products and researched and studied for over 40 years. BPA continues to be recognized as safe by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
How can I tell if my plastic water bottle contains BPA?
Although we no longer produce or sell bottles that contain BPA, some of our older bottles may still contain BPA. To determine which type of bottle you own, look at the bottom of your Lifeline plastic water bottle. If you see the letters "PC" under the recycle symbol, then your bottle is made of polycarbonate plastic and does contain BPA. If you do not see these letters, then your bottle is made of Tritan Copolyester and does not contain BPA.
What is Tritan Copolyester?
Tritan Copolyester is a new type of plastic that offers the strength, clarity and heat resistance of traditional copolyesters but it does not use BPA in the manufacturing process.
What plastic do you use to manufacture the lids?
Our lids are manufactured out of Polypropylene (PP#5), a non-leaching plastic.
Where are your bottles made?
Our Tritan Copolyester and stainless steel bottles are produced in China.
Can I get refills for my first aid, survival or road kit?
We do not sell individual items to refill your first aid, survival or road kit. You can find many of these items at a pharmacy or outdoor store.
